House: Putting a bow on term 1

House activities at both the Primary School and High School involved festive games, caroling, and a drama competition which inspired brilliant performances.

Primary School House

Last Friday St Andrews International School Bangkok celebrated Christmas in style with Festive Friday! The children looked amazing in all of their festive gear and we had fun games on the field at break time… the reindeer races were a highlight and there were smiles all round! Thank you for sending in 20 baht, all of the money raised will be shared evenly between Central Thailand Mission and The Mercy Center. Onto the Carol Singing, and what a turn out! We would like to thank the children and family members for making such an effort and house points will be allocated to everyone who took part in the singing.

Finally, the house leaders would like to thank their amazing and dedicated team of reps and captains who have worked incredibly hard during a busy first term. We are excited to start off January 2018 with a bang! More information on events to come in the first few weeks of term 2. Have a wonderful holiday!

House Drama Competition

Last Friday saw the House Drama Competition take place in the High School Theatre. There were 5 groups performing ranging from Year 8 through to Year 11. The students received House points each for their participation and the overall winners won House points for their House.  All the pieces were fantastic and the response from the audience was amazing. It was a very hard  decision for the judges but in the end it was group 4 that won over all which consisted of Manuela, David, Lucy, Khushi, Jasleen and Jasmin from Year 10. The best female performer went to Lucy and the best male performer went to Leon both in Year 10.

House Carol Singing

Last Thursday we saw the House students team up with the Choir to spread some Christmas cheer and sing some carols over lunchtime. It was great to see so many students involved and having a Christmasy old time.

Winter Carnival: A HUGE success

On Sunday we hosted a Winter Carnival for all the children and service users of all the projects underneath the umbrella of our school charity ‘Thailand Central Mission’. The day was a huge success with our students running games and activities for the children and even Father Christmas stopped by for a visit. The day was so much fun and there was a real buzz of excitement in the air. Well done and thank you to all the STA students involved who gave up their Sunday to come and do something special for the children and service users of our  school charity.
