Primary School Music: Flash Mob surprises at break time

STA Bang surprises students with a Flash Mob on the field and our youngest singers joined their voices with those of 7 other schools in the Bangkok Patana Choral Festival.

STA Bang Bucket Drumming Flash Mob!

On Wednesday, STA Bang surprised everyone at break-time with a flash mob on the field. During ECA this term, along with playing the Boomwhackers and a variety of other percussion instruments, the children also started bucket drumming. At break-time they appeared on the field and did a fantastic performance accompanying 'Uptown Funk.' Well done STA Bang!

Bangkok Patana Choral Festival

Last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 26 of our young singers joined children from 7 other schools in creating a huge and impressive sounding choir at Bangkok Patana School. They had a wonderful time meeting new friends and learning some fantastic songs together. During the festival they took part in a range of additional activities, from break dancing to boomwhackers, art and drumming. They showcased these activities in the concert on Saturday alongside the 4 beautiful songs they had learnt with the festival conductor, Susanna Saw, from Malaysia.

Here is what the children thought of the experience:

I especially enjoyed the food and I liked it when we did break dancing. Laurin
It was really hard work and very tiring. But we did it! Anderton
I thought the concert was the best bit. Logan
