Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1: Wrapping up Term 1 with a little Christmas bow

We prepare for a Merry Christmas and the end of Term 1 at St Andrews International School Bangkok with lots of activities planned for the upcoming week...Term 1 reports are available on Moodle...Remember that the last day of school this Friday will be a half day.

In this, the final newsletter of a long and busy First Term we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and thank all of our families for their support this term. Hopefully, everyone will have the chance to spend some time with their families and that the children have a rest and come back refreshed and ready for learning in the new year.

Last week was a fantastic opportunity to see the musical and dramatic talents of our FS and KS1 children as they performed their Christmas Shows for their families.

The Y2 Production of Children Around the World packed the Drama Studio for three performances, whilst the Foundation Stage children each did their own shows. Year 1’s al fresco concert in the Y6 Quad, drew in the crowds on Friday, following the well-attended Community Carols.

There are a lot of people to thank on these occasions, but special thanks have to go to Ms Alice, Ms Marie and Khun Gig in the Music Department, and to Mr Shaktim and the Estates Team, who always have to be in more than one place at once in these final two weeks!

As the FS children had worked so hard this term, a special visitor paid them a visit following their shows. We are hoping that he will get the opportunity to come back and visit the KS1 and KS2 children later in the week…

This week the children and teachers of Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 head over to Key Stage 2 area for our Christmas celebrations, with the Christmas Fair being held on Wednesday this week. For anyone who hasn’t been to our Christmas Fair before, it is worth a visit!

The Y6 students and their teachers organise activities and the PTG support us by inviting food vendors and retailers who bring along gift items.

Parking

For your convenience, please use the parking at Suk 71 or Max Value, or pick up the shuttle bus service from Gateway. For the return journey to Gateway we will extend the service to 6.15pm to allow those attending the Y5/Y6 concert to enjoy the food vendors after the show.

If you cannot make the fair at the Primary School, a similar event will take place at High School the following day, Thursday 12th December.
