Over the past two terms, all of our Primary School students in their classes have taken turns to experience a virtual safari from our international school in Bangkok to Chiang Rai to learn from the hardworking heroes at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF).
Over the past two terms, all of our Primary School classes have taken turns to experience a virtual safari to learn from the hardworking heroes at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF).
Primary School students across all year groups are now uniting on a mission to raise awareness and money to help the elephants at GTAEF.
Find out what they are doing and how you can help below.
Khun Ou and Mr John from GTAEF led the virtual tours, giving children a sneak preview into the daily lives of the elephants. There were some excellent questions by the students, and many facts were learnt."
"There were moments of drama with a group of elephants bathing in the nearby river rushing up onto the banks trumpeting, chasing each other and surprising everyone with their fun-loving antics."
"At times, the elephants quietly allowed us to get up close and personal and learn about their physical adaptations."
To learn more about the teaching and learning for this project Mr Ewen has written an article for TES. To read his article click here.
