I began working in Early Years in 2006 when I qualified as a Nursery Nurse, working with children from 6 months to 4 years old in a Private Day Nursery in England. This interest led me to study Early Years at Leeds University. Throughout my time studying, I continued to work running a crèche and after school club. This allowed me to put into practice what I was studying. From there I developed a desire to teach and completed my PGCE in 2012. I worked for three years in the UK in a public school in Year 1 and Nursery (3-4year olds) before moving to Thailand in 2015 to continue teaching.
I was born in England and lived there until making the big move to Thailand in 2015. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit Thailand whilst I was studying, and during my final work placement I visited St Andrews International School Bangkok. Even at the end of that very short trip, I knew that someday I would be back. In my spare time I like to spend time with my friends, traveling and visiting new places. I enjoy yoga, running and cooking…although they are all in need of some practice!
I joined St Andrews International School Bangkok in 2018 and I am very much enjoying it. For me the s,chool stands out for its ‘family feel’, everyone works together and is supported to provide a high standard of care for the children.
