I completed a degree in Business and Marketing in London and spent some time working in branding and marketing with companies in London. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my heart was in it, so I decided to change career paths and took up teaching. After working in Thailand teaching English in schools such as Assumption Primary School, I returned to the UK to complete my Primary PGCE. After qualifying, I worked at Burbage Junior School in England as a Year 5 class teacher and sports coach.
I then returned to Thailand so that I could continue to develop my teaching skills but at the same time spend more time working as a PADI Divemaster. I began at Traill International School before applying to St. Andrews. One of the biggest attractions to me was the fact that the staff enjoyed working at the school and this meant that the children were extremely happy.
For most of my life I have enjoyed playing a wide range of sports and continue to do so here in Bangkok. I think it’s great that such a variety of sports are available at our school. I particularly enjoy working as a Divemaster in the holidays and am always looking for ways to integrate the ideas behind protecting our oceans in to what I do when working with children.
