I have worked at St Andrews International School Bangkok since 2010. I am now the Primary EAL coordinator. However before this, I worked as the Year Leader for Year 3 for four years and the Year Leader for Year 5 for two years. Before working at St Andrews I was Head of Primary Learner Courses at the British Council. I really enjoyed working there and learned a lot. I achieved a Trinity College Diploma in TESOL and became a teacher trainer on the YL extension to the CELTA. While working at the British Council, I had heard very positive reports about St Andrews from my colleagues and friends in other international schools. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to further my career here, I couldn’t turn it down. I graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Business Administration. I also completed my PGCE in Primary Education from this university. I grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, however, I have lived here in Bangkok since 2004. I also lived in Japan for a year and a half. In my free time I enjoy windsurfing and yoga. I enjoy working at St Andrews. I am part of a very good team of dedicated professional teachers. The management and my colleagues are always supportive, helpful and approachable. This makes St Andrews International School Bangkok a very happy place to work and a very positive environment for children to learn and develop in.
