I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Special Education. I started working in the Philippines as a junior supervisor which gave me the chance to work in Japan as a training coordinator for 2 years. I thought it was not the right career for me because I loved working with children so I decided to search for a new job that would fulfill my dreams. It was in April 2002 when I found a job opportunity in St. Andrews International School Bangkok. I read the profile of the school and found out that they are accepting and giving fair chance to children with special needs. I was very keen and interested to work in a school like St. Andrews. I applied to try my luck. Fortunately, I was hired as a Learning Support Assistant. Time flew so fast and I couldn’t imagine that 12 long years had passed and I’m still here working happily. Working here is one of the biggest achievements in my life and I’m proud to say that St. Andrews is my home away from home.
I am a caring, supportive and enthusiastic employee. I have the ability to build good relationships with staff members and students. I have enough experience of supporting children with special needs and have the confidence and energy to successfully deal with children with challenging behaviour. I am a good listener and willing to accept the opinions and suggestions of others.
St. Andrews is uniquely capable of allowing its students the greatest scope to discover their passion. Our school’s extensive campus and outstanding facilities ensure that our students have the greatest number of options and opportunities in all areas of their academic and personal development. Above all else, it allows us to offer them the choices so they can pursue their own particular ambitions and interests.
Through the excellence and broad expertise of our teachers, support staff and curriculum, students consistently receive a diverse and engaging education. Alongside this, we recognise the importance of the world outside the classroom. Our extensive extra-curricular programme emphasises a holistic approach to learning to ensure our students leave the school not only prepared for higher education but also as well-rounded individuals ready to play their part in society.
