Important Back to School Reminders The first day of school is Tuesday, September 2! Read on for some important reminders for the first week of school. It's hard to believe, but in only a few days our school hallways will once again be filled with students! Read on for important details on the first week of school and get ready for a smooth start to the new year!

As in past years, BISB will be implementing a staggered drop-off and pick-up procedure for the first two days of school, Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3.

Students in Years 3-13 will follow a regular drop-off and pick-up schedule. Students should be dropped off between 8:10 and 8:25 a.m. and collected by 3:40 p.m. Additional details on normal procedure can be found below.

For students in Toddlers to Year 2, however, the first two days will follow a special schedule.

Toddler, Nursery & Reception: Students will attend school from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All parents should follow the regular drop-off and pick-up procedures (outlined here)and should arrive at 10 a.m. All students should be picked up by 2 p.m.

Years 1 & 2: Students will attend school from 9:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Parents should follow the regular drop-off and pick-up procedures, arriving at 9:15 a.m. and collecting students by 2:45 p.m. For parents of Year 1 and NEW Year 2 students who prefer to walk their children to the play yard, there are limited number of parking spaces available in the lower BISB parking lot.

All buses will be running these first two days. Any student taking the bus will follow a normal school schedule.

After a successful first two days, parents are invited to join staff members for the annual Back to School Night event. Parents can visit the school to meet with staff, catch up with fellow school community members and meet new families.

Parents of students in Toddlers-Year 6 are invited to the school from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to meet with teachers in their classrooms, followed by a reception in the school gym. Parents of students in Years 7-13 are invited to the school from 7-8 p.m. for presentations on the middle and high school, followed by a reception in the school gym.

We hope all our parents will join us!
