Guidance Counselor

Prior to becoming apart of the BISB team, I previously worked in Newton Public Schools where I was a mental health counselor. I have my masters in counseling from Lesley University with a trauma specialization and have really enjoyed working in the school system, helping students reach their potential within the academic setting.

I truly enjoy working with students in need within the school system. I have received my DESE license in school social work/school adjustment counseling. I am also working towards my LMHC license and have already passed the counseling exam needed for this license.

Outside of the workplace, I have always been really involved in sports and at BISB, I have had the opportunity to coach Middle School and High School Girls soccer. I enjoy other sports like basketball and tennis as well. I am really involved in volunteer work including running a soccer camp for kids during the summer. I have had the opportunity to travel and quite enjoy seeing and experiencing new things while overseas. I recently traveled to India and was able to volunteer working in a home for women rescued from trafficking as well as experience a new culture and environment.

What do you feel makes BISB unique?

I think that BISB has many special qualities but I most enjoy the fact that the teachers are truly invested in their students and are able to form positive relationships with them. Students are encouraged to be themselves and are inspired to use what makes them unique to their advantage.
