I studied a BA(HONS) degree in Music, specialising in Composition and Theory of Music, and then went on to complete a PGCE in Primary Education. After qualifying, I worked at a small primary school in England, teaching Year 4. I then moved on to a larger school, where I taught Years 2, 3 and 5. I have been at BISB since 2010, and have taught classes in Toddlers, Year 1, Year 4 and Year 5.
In the past, I have been the leader for Maths, ICT e-learning and Music. In my previous school in England, I took on the role of implementing the teaching of Modern Foreign Languages, and led a research project for Hertfordshire Council on the teaching of Languages to Primary age children. I was also Head of Lower Primary, and a member of SLT, before I finally made the decision to teach in an international school, and moved to Boston.

Music is my favourite pastime. I enjoy most genres of music, including classical, jazz, opera and rock. I play a variety of musical instruments, and have taught instrumental lessons to children and adults for many years. I like going to concerts of all types and enjoy the theatre and cinema. I also enjoy cooking and baking, and spending time with my family.
What do you feel makes BISB so special for students to learn and teachers to teach?
BISB is a unique place to work because of the diverse range of cultures and backgrounds of the students I teach. The teachers and students learn from each other.
