I graduated from the University of Central England in Birmingham with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education in 1996. I taught Year 1 and 2 for two years at Benson Community School in Birmingham before moving to teach Year 1, Year 3, Year 5 for eight years at Courthouse Green Primary School. In 2002, I took part in a one year Fulbright teacher exchange, teaching 3rd Grade at Sarah Winnemucca Elementary School in Reno, Nevada, USA.
In 2006, I moved to Boston to join the British International School of Boston. During my eight years at BSB I have taught Year 2, Year 5 and am currently teaching Year 4. During my teaching career I have held the posts of ICT Subject leader and Key Stage 1 coordinator. At BISB I have held the posts of ICT subject leader and ‘webmaster’. I am currently the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) subject leader.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and during the past 10 years have travelled to 49 of the states in the USA. During my travels I have managed to visit every MLB baseball stadium but of course Fenway Park is my favorite! I am also a member of The Footlight Club theater in Boston. I help out in operating sound for productions and running the theater box office.
