I trained as an Early Years Educator in Dundee and worked across a number of Early Years settings throughout my training. Following this, in 2006, I graduated from Dundee University with a First Class Honors Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Teaching. I taught in Dundee for a few years in both a Year 4 and Year 1 class before making the decision to move to sunny Dubai. Whilst there, I taught in a small British curriculum school across a range of age groups, including Year 1, Year 5 and Reception. I moved to a much larger setting in 2014, at one of our sister schools, Nord Anglia International School Dubai; teaching a Year 6 class as well as leading Innovation and Technology across the primary school. In 2018, we made the move to BISB and I have taught in the Toddler program and Year 1. I am currently thrilled to be leading STEAM across the primary school as my passion lies with project based learning.
My experience in a range of settings and across a wide variety of age groups has allowed me to acquire an excellent understanding of how children develop and learn. I love seeing the progress children make on a day to day basis and watching that special moment when they learn something new!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending family time with my husband and young daughter who also both work and attend BISB respectively. We are loving the fresh air, parks and walks that Boston has to offer!
