While completing my undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Edinburgh, I fell in love with teaching. From university, I decided to explore somewhere new which led me to take a role teaching English in Northern Spain for two years. After Spain, the desire returned to further my knowledge in the sciences. I returned to university to complete a PGCE in Secondary Science with a Physics specialism. After finishing my degree, I delved back into teaching, working in Manchester as leader of Middle School Science before moving to Massachusetts and joining the BISB Science Team as Head of Science.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running and cycling. My wife and I enjoy exploring around Boston as well as traveling and exploring different places in the world, one of our favorites being my wife's island, Martha's Vineyard. I am excited to work with students and help them pursue their passion of learning and science in a new and interesting way. I feel BISB is unique in its knowledge of both subject and students and I look forward to seeing the students grow in their familiarity with science and hopefully develop a desire to know more!
