I graduated university with a degree in Biological and Biochemical Sciences, and then a PGCE in Secondary Science. In the UK, I taught Biology and Science in a number of schools, eventually becoming Head of Science in a small school in Worcestershire.
In 2005, my family and I made the decision to apply for an overseas job. Initially we thought we would stay for two years and then move on. Nine years later we are still here at BISB.
My husband, son and I arrived in Boston in 2005. Since then we have bought a house in a small Massachusetts town, with the Charles River at the bottom of our garden. I frequently kayak along the river during the summer months, and one winter went for a walk on the frozen river. I love to ski, knit and read. I also love to walk with my two dogs.

"Mrs. Dolan teaches us to love learning."
"I love Science with Mrs. Dolan as it is fun and exciting, while I am learning the whole time."
what makes this school different
I love the school here as the students are keen to learn, focused and engaged. We have many open-ended discussions about Science and I learn something from the students every week.
