    Drama Teacher

    Lauren Sippin

I graduated in 2013 from Fairfield University with BA in English and Theater. I then continued my studies to receive my Masters in English Education in 2015. In the summer of 2017, I was graciously granted the opportunity to attend a course at Juilliard in accordance with their program through NAE. I learned key concepts that the program endorses throughout the Performing Arts, and how those concepts can be interwoven into other course subjects as well - such as creativity, engagement, and discovery based learning. Because of this amazing experience, I am a huge advocate for The Juilliard music curriculum at BISB.

Head of Physical Education/Director of Athletics

    Dylan Censorio

I graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor of Science and a focus on teaching physical education and health education. Before graduating college, I completed my student teaching at two large middle and high schools in Manchester, New Hampshire. Shortly after graduation I moved to Boston where I landed my first teaching position at a private school called Buckingham, Browne and Nichols located in Cambridge, MA.

Currently I am the Director of Athletics as well as the Head of Physical Education. As the Director of Athletics I schedule all middle school and high school athletic competitions, set up various extracurricular clubs for all ages and coach middle school basketball and middle and high school soccer. I have spent 2 seasons coaching the boys' middle school basketball team and high school soccer team and 1 season coaching the girls' middle school soccer team.

Physical Education Teacher and Director of Student Welfare for...

    Stephanie Minto

Being born into a family of teachers, there really was only one route for me. After a year working as a polo groom and traveling to Argentina, I embarked on my degree course at Brunel University in London.  Four years later, I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education with Physical Education and settled in London.

During the four summers at University, I worked in Michigan at a YMCA summer camp where I taught horseback riding, mentored the counselors in training, and coordinated all female staff and campers. I loved working in the great outdoors and thoroughly embraced the experience, especially learning to wakeboard and becoming a pro at building campfires.

I have taught in both the state and independent sector in London and most recently left a post as Head of Department in a school in Kensington.  I love all sports, both to play and watch, and will turn my hand to any activity. I regularly played netball and competed at a high standard in London, but I have been known to play many other sports ranging from ultimate frisbee to skiing. I enjoy taking fitness classes, and at my previous school I ran an early morning boot camp session, which the students loved. Unfortunately, in order to move to Boston, I had to relinquish my much-loved Arsenal FC season ticket.  I am hoping to fill that void by watching all  the Boston sports (whilst keeping tabs on Arsenal as the season progresses!). I look forward to demonstrating my passion and drive for all things sport whilst encouraging and motivating others to find their passion in order to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.

I am enjoying my role as the Director of Student Welfare for Middle School students!

    Head of Modern Foreign Languages

    Louise Miller

I have been passionate about language acquisition for as long as I can remember having always been fascinated by the ways in which languages work, sound and reveal about people and culture.

It was therefore a natural step for me to want to share my love of languages through teaching.

Coming from a family of teachers I knew from an early age I wanted to be a teacher.  I graduated from Leeds University and have been a teacher of art since 2001. I worked at two schools in the North of England near Leeds prior to moving to BISB in 2007. In my mid-20s, alongside my teaching, I owned my own boutique where I sold accessories which included hats that I made myself.

    French and Spanish Teacher

    Yasemin Moustakim

As a passionate linguist, I have always been fascinated by language acquisition and the ways in which language can connect people from all walks of life. Keen to develop my own linguistic proficiency, I completed my undergraduate degree in French and Spanish at the University of Leicester, during which time I was lucky to have the opportunity to live and work in France, Belgium and Spain.

I hold a B.A. (Hons) French and Spanish from the University of Leicester, a P.G.C.E. in Modern Foreign Languages Secondary from Roehampton University, and MSc Learning and Teaching from the University of Oxford, Kellogg College.

My love of learning led me to embark on a two-year MSc at the University of Oxford. I spent my time at Oxford exploring the complex relationship between motivation and progress in Foreign Language learning and developing practical strategies to decrease the risk of disengagement.

I am thrilled to be teaching French and Spanish at the British International School of Boston and excited to continue to grow personally and professionally, learning from and working with excellent educators and students from a variety of heritages and disciplines.
