Nursery Class Teacher

Raised by a high school teacher in Southern California, I always knew I wanted to work with children. I spent my summers teaching at camps and worked as a substitute teacher after graduating with my BA in English. Those combined experiences led me to a graduate teaching program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I spent my days teaching at a local school and my evenings learning from the wonderful professors at The Gevirtz Graduate School of Education.

Those combined experiences led me to a graduate teaching program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After completing my M.Ed. in teaching, my partner and I decided to move to Boston to pursue our careers. I’ve worked as a short-term and long-term substitute at both public and private schools in the city. I am proud of the time and effort I put into being a substitute teacher as it gave me experience with a variety of students at all age groups.

My time at the British International School of Boston started in March 2020 when I accepted a long-term substitute position in the English department. I immediately fell in love with the school and happily accepted a position as a Nursery teacher.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, and swimming. My partner and I love taking long drives to different areas of New England and exploring the towns we find along the way. You can often find us somewhere on the North Shore, hiking and swimming Walden Pond, or visiting Maine. I look forward to the many adventures that still await us here!
