Polar Bears, Giraffes, and Zebras, Oh My!

One of our Year 4 students has a couple of successes to share beyond the classroom.

"Morgan won the award for the player with the most 'determination, hard work and hustle' on her lacrosse team for this season," said mom Marie L.

We know our Year 4 Leader, Ms. Stone, would be especially proud. Yet, this outgoing student has something she's been dedicated to for several years now.

"Over the past 3 years, Morgan has asked for friends and family to help her raise money, in lieu of birthday presents, to support one of the animals at Lincoln Park zoo," said Marie. "This year, she chose the polar bears.  Morgan's birthday is this month, and so far she has raised $825."

Last year, our BISC Lincoln Park student raised over $800 for the giraffes and, in 2015, she raised over $600 to support the zebras.

Just an update: in July, she will present a check to the zoo that will be used to buy toys and needed supplies for the polar bears.

Way to go, Morgan!
