Teaching Artist (Voice, Piano)

I’ve loved musical theater since I was a child, and began taking voice lessons at age 13. When I arrived at college, I fell in love with opera after playing a fairy in the chorus of Iolanthe. After college, I went on to graduate school where I had my first experience with private lessons, and I discovered my passion for teaching.

Teaching Philosophy | I help my students to learn how to healthily and effectively find their individual sound while fostering an atmosphere of encouragement. I want lessons to be enjoyable, while building up the fundamentals of musicianship and technique with each student.

A highlight of her performance career... | Being able to perform alongside some of my dearest friends in HMS Pinafore, while playing Little Buttercup, which was a dream-role of mine.

Fun Fact | I have a cat named after Stevie Nicks.

Schools Attended
- Bachelor of Music in Voice from Illinois Wesleyan University
- Master of Music in Voice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Additional Qualifications  | Teaching assistantship at University of Wisconsin-Madison for three semesters, where I taught private voice lessons and directed opera scenes.
