Cello Teacher

I began cello lessons when I was 6 years old and a year later gave my first public performance. While in high school, I toured Europe with a chamber orchestra. After completing my Doctor of Musical Arts degree, I decided to focus on teaching, which I enjoy very much. I love helping my students improve and feel good about themselves and their cello playing.

MSU Women's Chamber Ensemble - All I Was Doing was Singing

My goal as a teacher is to develop each student up to their full potential. No student is the same as the next, so I do not have the same expectations from everyone, except that they all work and try to improve as best as they can.

What is a highlight from your performing career?

Every performance I feel I have played up to my abilities is a highlight for me. It is not about where or with whom I perform, but how I feel about my performance afterward.

Fun Fact

I play in a soccer league!
