I am so thrilled to become a part of the Studio 814 program. It began as just a music school for private music tutoring, but since then it has grown into so much more! In the last year, we have welcomed Knuckleball Comedy, Hubbard Street Dance Company and Emerald City Theatre as collaborators toward our initiative to strengthen the performing arts in our community. As our love of the arts spreads to our students, so we hope these students will take it with them as they grow.
When I am asked about the value of the performing arts, I am always driven to ask, what moves you? Have you ever heard a piece of music that made you feel happy? Have you ever seen a play that moved you to tears, or a dance that brought back fond memories? These art forms can influence the way we feel, and our feelings can change the way we act and respond to our surroundings every day. They makes us connect with people in ways we otherwise may not. The performing arts are a force for the human experience, and one of the most creative and fun ways to personal and community growth.
I encourage you to explore our website and the variety of programs we offer - we're growing all the time! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
