An Ever-evolving Experience for Ever-evolving Learners

I am thoroughly looking forward to yet another successful year in the BISC-LP community as Principal of a school that continually aims to provide an inclusive, enabling environment that empowers children to achieve.

It is important to recognize the uniqueness of each child and develop a program of learning that promotes challenge and personalized learning at all levels.  The excellent standards in both learning and teaching create a learning environment that is relevant, rich and rewarding for all.  Through this, a school can encourage creative and critical thinking alongside stimulating and meaningful experiences, leading to fun, excitement, awe and wonder.

From the very first moment you visit BISC-LP, it is evident that the children truly are the ‘lifeblood’ of the school.  They embody all that the school strives for and promote and warm and inspiring environment, through being enthusiastic, charming, charismatic young people with an appetite for learning and a genuine thirst for knowledge.  Children who are happy and secure in their learning environment are children who are more likely to achieve their potential.  The school’s personalized approach to learning embraces and responds to diversity in individual learning styles and provides children with the skills, competence and attitudes for their future.  The well being of the children at BISC-LP is paramount, with  great emphasis on building high-quality personal and social skills, which have such a positive impact upon standards of achievement and attitudes to learning.

The school’s facilities provide a vibrant, supportive and creative learning environment that encourages challenge, curiosity and choice for all.  The extra curricular provision is outstanding, with a comprehensive sport, cultural and performing arts program beyond the school day as well as access to holiday camps, residential trips and participation in local events.

British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park is focused on providing the best possible learning experiences for all.  I feel privileged and honored to be the Principal role in this warm and welcoming school community and am looking forward to sharing the experience with you and your family during what promises to be yet another a very successful school year.

Warm regards,
Edward Pearce
