Born and raised in the north suburbs, I have lived in the great city of Chicago for all of my adult life. My connection to the British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park runs deep as I have been an active member of the parent and volunteer community for the last 10 years, watching my three boys progress through its ranks.
I earned a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana and an MA in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Before making the decision to stay home and focus on raising my three boys, I worked in public programming and event planning at The Field Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art. I then took on the role of Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. More recently I’ve engaged in volunteer projects with Make-A-Wish Illinois and Lakeview Pantry. You can also often find me in the kitchen working on cake and pastry designs or developing new recipes. With any spare time I can carve out, I love to travel near and far on adventures with my family.
I feel so proud and privileged to be part of such a dynamic, passionate, and caring group of teachers, administrators, and support staff. With my diverse skill set and life experiences, I look forward to adding a unique and creative perspective to an already robust and thriving community.
