I grew up in London, England, born to American and Irish parents. I began my teaching career in a small, close-knit school in south-west London, where I spent three very happy years teaching Reception, Year 5 and Year 2. Keen to broaden my cultural and educational experience, I then moved to South Korea to teach at Dulwich College Seoul. From there, I moved to Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I was a Year 1 class teacher and Reading Subject Leader. I have been at BISC-LP since 2017. I am a keen musician; I play the violin and piano, and I sing in a number of choirs. In fact, I love anything related to the performing arts. Reading, drawing, cooking, travelling, and running (preferably by our beautiful lake, rather than on a treadmill!) are my other hobbies.
I believe in children’s limitless capacity for growth, creativity, and progress, and it is a teacher’s privilege to empower students to reach and exceed their goals. By building resilience, independence, and responsibility, children are able to achieve truly remarkable things. Teaching really is the best job in the world!
