Alex Hinde

Alex Hinde | British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park

Year 6 Teacher and Health & Safety Leader

I am originally from Sussex on England's southern coast and have also lived in Scotland and Canada. After a career in the environmental sector, I moved into teaching and gained my qualification at the University of Brighton. Chicago is a very inspiring place to live as a teacher. I particularly enjoy the rich and diverse art and music scenes. I love to cycle, and Chicago's bike-friendly topography makes exploring the different neighborhoods by bike a favorite thing to at the weekends.

I care enormously that the education we deliver is constantly evolving and relevant to the lives of the children now and in years to come. As environmental and geo-political issues shape the modern world that we live in, it is important that children develop a broad and considered global perspective. The unique and global opportunities that we offer enhance every student's learning experience and equip them with the tools necessary to be successful people in an ever-changing world.
