Courtney Sass | British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park

1 to 1 Learning Assistant

I was born and raised in the south Chicago suburbs. I have always had an interest in education and the arts. I have studied both Art History and Museum Studies in the past, and have worked at places like the Elmhurst Art Museum and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. I’ve also done a great deal of work with the disability activist community in Chicago. I joined the BISC-LP team in May of 2017 and have loved being part of such an internationally minded community! Outside of school, I love being in nature, reading, and picking up new art practices. I am fortunate enough to live near several great parks and forest preserves that let me explore with my recently adopted Bluetick hound, Mulder.

Universities attended: National Louis (current): MAT in Early Childhood Education
University of Illinois at Chicago: MA in Museum Studies (education focus)
Loyola University of Chicago: BA in Art History
