I am originally from Elmhurst, Illinois where I resided until I moved to Appleton, Wisconsin to study music at Lawrence University. I earned my degree in January 2018 with majors in Clarinet Performance and Instrumental Music Education. I love making music with my clarinet and my voice, but what is most worthwhile is performing with others. Playing chamber music is one of my life's greatest joys; a joy which I hope to pursue further during my career. I’m very excited to draw on my experience in music education and join the Dragonflies team in helping children reach their highest potential as learners. In my spare time I enjoy making new vegan foods while listening to audiobooks, exploring green spaces, and capturing way too many pictures.
I love the supportive environment created by the staff and students at the BISC-LP, as well as the philosophy of international mindedness that is woven throughout the curriculum to prepare students for a more globally conscious and connected future. I only joined the team in August and I have been so warmly welcomed by everyone I have met. I have a variety of responsibilities in my new role as a Learning Assistant and I have ample opportunity to utilize my strengths while also learning new educational skills.
