I was born and grew up in a small town in Devon in the South West of England. I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and experiencing different cultures. I love living near the lake in Chicago. One of my favorite things to do is to walk along the lakefront path and admire the scenery.

I grew up in a small village on the western coast of Scotland. I love to travel and enjoy experiencing new cultures and languages. I moved to Chicago in 2009 and have since been married and had our child, Finlay, who will be in Year 3 during the 2021-22 academic year. The thing I most love about Chicago is its diverse neighborhoods and the strong feeling of community; we very much enjoy exploring each of these, particularly during the summer months at festivals.

I am an avid language learner and world traveler; nothing is more exciting than visiting a new country and speaking a new language. In recent years, I have been working on perfecting my Swedish and am now starting to learn Italian. I shamelessly follow the Eurovision Song Contest and listen to a lot of terrible European pop music. I love Chicago for the reason that it has that big city feel, while still having a variety of individual neighborhoods with their own characteristics. I come from the West Highlands of Scotland and grew up with spectacular views of mountains and islands, but Chicago’s varied urban landscape fascinates me every time I look out of the window.
