I graduated with first class honors in Primary Education in 2004 from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. I taught in Scotland for four years before starting my international teaching experience at BISC-LP. After spending three wonderful years teaching in the early years department and enjoying life in beautiful Chicago, I left the states to join my (now) husband, Oliver, in his home country of Spain. While there, I spent two years teaching in a British international school where I gained invaluable experience teaching children with English as an additional language. However, when the opportunity came up to rejoin the Nord Anglia family of schools in New York, Oliver and I decided to make the move, and we have now been back in USA for 7 years. Life in New York was fast paced and fun, however when our family life changed significantly with the arrival of our twin boys, Alfie and Noah, we decided to move back to Chicago. I have loved being back teaching at BISC-LP and reacquainting myself with this amazing city, and I am very excited for my boys to join The Ducklings class this year! When I am not in school, I love to travel and experience new cultures and have visited many countries all over the world; Alfie and Noah have managed to get a few stamps in their passports in the first few years of their lives! I am an active person and enjoy a challenge; I have completed the Chicago, Seattle and New York half marathons. With a Spanish speaking husband and bilingual children, my personal challenge this year is to continue learning how to speak the language!
