In Year 3 today, we enjoyed taking a break from our busy schedule to hand out some lovely Valentine’s treats. We certainly cannot wait for our fun-filled day on Friday!
Year 4 had a fantastic time last Friday night at the Field Museum's "Dozin’ With The Dinos" sleepover. The children spent the evening taking part in various activities and workshops involving tarantulas, ancient fossils and bones, and real mummified animals, as well as watching a special 3D movie about Sue the T-Rex. Once it was bedtime, the children slept in one of the exhibit rooms in their sleeping bags… it was the best sleepover EVER!
Continuing our work on Myths and Legends, this week the Learning Lions did an amazing job describing their heroic characters through their speech as well as documenting the main battle scene between their heroes and their gruesome monsters. We used Beowulf and the Jabberwocky as our inspiration, and produced some spectacularly written pieces.
