This fall, Chicago has a jam-packed school fair schedule! Read on to learn how to prepare for these outreach events and where to find BISC.
With so many educational organizations in attendance, walking through a school fair can be overwhelming. To get the most out of your trip and navigate your search for a well-rounded school, consider asking the representatives of each school these 10 questions:
1. Where is your school located?
2. What grades do you offer?
3. How long has your school been established?
4. What are the cultural and social demographics of your school
5. What’s your current enrollment?
6. Where can I find your admissions application and what’s the submission deadline?
7. What other documents do I need to complete the admissions process?
8. What assessments does my child need to complete to apply to your school?
9. When do you send admissions decisions?
10. What are the tuition and fees?
Last weekend, our Admissions Team fielded many of the questions above at school fairs and community outreach events.
On Saturday, September 19, we attended Neighborhood Parent Network’s South Side Preschool & Elementary School Fair at Hyde Park Neighborhood Club. On Sunday, our campus teamed up with British International School of Chicago’s Lincoln Park campus to participate in the Make-A-Wish Walk & Run for Wishes, where we donned our favorite superhero costumes to walk (or run) five kilometers in support of Make-A-Wish Illinois. After that, we headed over to the 3rd Annual Bradley Place Block Party to take part in fun family activities. It was a fantastic weekend, filled with exciting conversations about education and what makes our school special.
This week, our Admissions Team will be attending three school fairs. We welcome you to stop by and say “hi!”
