Budding Authors Explore Creative Writing with Published Novelist What’s it like to BE an author? Our Year 10 and 11 students recently explored the creative writing process with novelist Sunita Bhamray.

What’s it like to be an author? Our Year 10 and 11 students recently explored the creative writing process with novelist Sunita Bhamray.

To enhance classroom learning, we frequently invite professionals to visit us and discuss their experiences. As one student put it, Ms. Bhamray transformed the classroom into the setting of a book and brought the novelist’s experiences to life.

“Ms. Bhamray shared with us a truthful representation of an author’s life; it’s not every day that an author can open up about the more difficult aspects of writing a book, for example ‘the wall’ that many writers encounter despite having a great source of inspiration. When she read the first entrancing and atmospheric chapter of Ganga Jamuna, it was clear that all parts of the writing experience are worth it.”
