A Work of Art: 5 High Schoolers Selected for State Exhibition The Illinois High School Art Exhibition has selected artwork from five BISC high school students to be showcased at the 2016 General Exhibition on March 6!

Here’s some eye-catching news! The Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) has selected artwork by five BISC high school students to be showcased at the 2016 General Exhibition on Sunday, March 6 at the Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood.

This is an enormous honor. The IHSAE’s General Exhibition is a “Best of the Best” high school art competition developed to recognize students for their artistic excellence. Schools across the Chicagoland area enter more than 2,500 student pieces, and judges select just 500 for the General Exhibition. The 500 student artists selected have the opportunity to compete against each other for over $15,000 in awards and scholarships.

Congratulations to Nicola, Year 11; Carew, Year 12; and Dulcie, Alana, and Claudia in Year 13! Their artwork, pictured above, represents a breadth of skill, from painting to three-dimensional pieces. Amazing!

We hope you’ll stop by the exhibition!
