We’re beaming for Carew (Year 12), who recently accepted a scholarship to attend an early college arts program in Pennsylvania.

Carew was one of five Bulldogs selected to showcase at the 2016 Illinois High School Art Exhibition, a “Best of the Best” art competition that recognizes students for their artistic excellence. Five hundred students competed for more than $15,000 in awards and scholarships, and we’re proud to report that Carew was among the recipients of an Early College Program Scholarship.

These scholarships give students the chance to attend high school arts programs held at colleges around the United States. Supported by the Thomas Eakins Emerging Artist Scholarship, Carew is headed to the Keystone State in July for the Summer Academy at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Congratulations, Carew!
