Debate Kicks Off with Wins

  • British International School of Chicago, South Loop | Private School Chicago

Students on High School Debate Team recently competed in the opening tournament of the school year at Palatine High School. This was the first competitive debate experience for many of the students, which makes their successes all the more impressive to announce:

  • George and Michael won first place in the Novice Public Forum Tournament. Judges also awarded George and Michael fourth and fifth best speaker, respectively, out of 48 competitors.
  • Brigid and Oliver won third place in the Junior Varsity Public Forum Debate.
  • Oliver won second best speaker out of 32 competitors in the Junior Varsity Forum Debate.

All our students fought hard and represented the school wonderfully. Congratulations, everyone!
