As a recipient of a full scholarship, I hold bachelor's and master's degrees from The Juilliard School where I studied with Dorothy Delay, Hyo Kang and David Chan. I also hold an Artists Diploma from Yale University and am currently a doctoral candidate at Northwestern University under Professor Blair Milton.
I came to the United States in 1999 when I started studying with Dorothy Delay and Catherine Cho. Admitted as a full-scholarship student at The Juilliard School, I have performed on the prestigious stages of Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, Carnegie-‐Weill Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and The Juilliard School as a soloist and chamber musician. I have worked with great coaches such as Tokyo String Quartet, Toby Appel, Jacob Lateiner, Rohan DeSilva, Earl Carlyss, Nicholas Mann, Shoko Aki, and Jonathan Feldman. As an orchestral musician, I am a member of Peninsula Music Festival, guest artist of Symphonie Song, Seoul Philharmonic, and New Haven Symphony.
Addition to teaching undergraduate students at Northwestern University, I have given masterclasses at universities including University of Central Missouri and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I am a member of Chicago-based Stellio Trio.
