After receiving my Post Graduate Certificate in Education from University of the West of England, I worked for a year as a substitute teacher to experience teaching and learning methods in a variety of schools and gain experience with multiple year groups.
In 2007, I accepted a job in the Primary School I originally attended as a child. Initially, I taught Year 5 but moved onto Year 6 for my second and third year, achieving some of the best SAT results in the city. Since then, I have been teaching across Primary School year groups.
I am an avid soccer fan and enjoying playing for various teams throughout Chicago, with varying degrees of success! I enjoy travel and am still enthralled by trying to see all the exciting sights and experiences this country has to offer. I love to read and dine out, as well as cycle around the city when the weather permits!
