British International School of Chicago, South Loop | Private School Chicago

Year 1 Teacher

I absolutely love working for Nord Anglia Education and am proud to be part of the Early Years team at British International School of Chicago, South Loop.

In all, I have been teaching for seven years and earned my degree in Primary Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. I became interested in teaching while on work experience in a local Primary school during my Secondary education. I am very fortunate enough to have followed a career that I have been passionate about for a long time.

I was previously a teacher at British International School of Abu Dhabi, also part of the Nord Anglia Education family. It was here that I developed my love for teaching Early Years. On top of teaching, I also organized trips, planned special events and theme days, and led Phonics and Math workshops for parents. Before BIS Abu Dhabi, I taught Year 1 and Year 2 in a small village school and later a larger Primary school in my hometown of Crawley in the UK.

Living in the United States has always been a dream of mine, and traveling across the states is something that excites me. I am also interested in Pilates and movies, especially those with superheroes.
