I studied History at the University of Warwick which included a year studying abroad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating I worked in a range of educational settings as a teaching assistant and decided to gain my post-graduate certification in primary education at Goldsmiths University of London. I joined an all-through school in South London where I was able to progress and I became lead for Computing and Mathematics. At my next school I joined the senior management team as a school improvement lead and continued leading Mathematics.
Having spent a year in Wisconsin, I am familiar with Chicago and have links to many other American cities through friends I made at college. My husband is American and when we decided to relocate from London I was delighted to find the British International School Chicago South Loop was recruiting. I was immediately attracted to the curriculum and the opportunities available for pupils and the values of Nord Anglia. I am excited to join such an inspiring organization and live in a new city.
In my free time I love reading and going for long city walks. Living in London for most of my life I have always had amazing museums and galleries on my doorstep. I have a growing collection of board games which I love playing after a delicious dinner with friends.
