I am excited to work at BISC South Loop because it is a tight-knit community of dedicated teachers, students, and parents. I am originally from the south suburb of Oak Lawn, but I have been living on the north side of the city since my time at Loyola University. In my spare time, I love to get outside, go hiking, explore nature, and play with my dog Cooper. I also enjoy getting lost in a good thriller novel or reading the memoirs of people who inspire me.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago in 2015. During my time at Loyola, I realized that I enjoyed both community nursing and pediatric nursing which is perfectly encompassed in the role of a school nurse. Since graduating, I have worked as a nurse in home health care with children and adults on mechanical ventilation. Working as the school nurse at BISC South Loop was definitely be a big career change for me, but I am excited to continue working with children and being a part of the awesome community at BISC.
