I graduated from University with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Warwick University, I completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from Sheffield University and I’ve completed a Masters in International Education from King’s College London. I grew up in Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District and I was into rock climbing and mountain biking when I was at school. After I graduated from University I spent a year working in industry before I decided to retrain and become a teacher. I worked in schools in the north of England before joining the British International School of Chicago, South Loop in the summer of 2007. Due to the growth of the school, I’ve had the opportunity to work at four different campus locations dotted across the city. I’ve held many roles at the school over the years and I’ve been Head of Secondary since 2013. I have two children and they are both part of the British School of Chicago community. I have enthusiastic colleagues and the students are amazing. It’s an exciting and rewarding place to work.
