I grew up in Lincolnshire, England and after gaining a bachelor of art's degree in English from Leicester University, I completed a master’s degree in literature, culture and modernity at Southampton University. I was motivated to become a teacher because I was fortunate enough to have an education that instilled a thirst for learning in me and wanted to play part in giving others the same positive experience.
After completing my postgraduate certificate in education teacher training at Oxford University, I taught English in state schools in Oxfordshire and Lincolnshire. The decision to join BISC was an easy one for me as it represented an opportunity to be part of a growing school with a reputation for excellence.
Away from work I enjoy reading, traveling, watching films, attending concerts and playing soccer. Since I was young, retaining useless information has always been a habit and I now put this to use by being surprisingly good at trivia quizzes.
