I previously worked at the International School of Indiana and was a Chinese Track Leader, teaching Chinese A literature and Chinese B Language. I am originally from China, but I had lived and worked in the UK for 11 years, Brunei for 2 years and Malaysia for 2 years. I have a masters degree in Applied Translation from Leeds University and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) for Middle and High School Mandarin from Goldsmith University.
It is my great honor to be offered the opportunity to work in the British International School of Chicago, South Loop. My ethos is to work hard and play hard, which is the way I encourage myself and inspire my students. The school aims at encouraging every student to reach for their dreams and I am looking forward to joining this team to help students to discover their potentials and witness their dreams coming true.
My outside interests are varied and I always try new things to give myself the opportunity to enjoy life. I love travelling, discovering diverse cultures and meeting new people. Concert, museum, hiking, cooking and cycling are my favorite weekend activities. I am ready to explore Chicago, one of the greatest cities in the USA.
