I have always enjoyed travelling and experiencing new cultures, and I saw the Mathematics job at British International School of Chicago as a great opportunity to join a Secondary School in its infancy and help shape its future. I joined BISC in 2007 as a Math teacher and now hold the position of Head of Secondary.

I graduated from Bristol University with a degree in mathematics and went on to complete my PGCE a year after. I then went on to teach in a girls’ grammar school in London where I took on the roles of Deputy Head of Maths as well as Head of Year 7, and in 2016 received a Kent Teacher of the Year Award after being nominated by my students. I also had the opportunity to lead a group of students on an expedition to Borneo where we visited the orangutan sanctuary, camped in the jungle, and spent some time in an impoverished village to renovate their facilities.
