Academic Results

Student progress is evaluated using established examination and assessment procedures common in the UK and top British Schools worldwide, allowing us to clearly benchmark our school standards.

Junior

In Junior School, all pupils from Year 2 upwards complete standardised assessments at the end of each academic year ensuring that progress is carefully monitored. Results are used to review individual progress compared with other children in the same age range.

These standardised assessments aim to measure the performance of all pupils following the English National Curriculum and identify the level of attainment in English and Mathematics.

Senior

In Senior School, pupils initially work towards the IGCSE's and A Level examinations in preparation for entry into university.

Students in Years 10 and 11 take IGCSEs, a two-year programme that is academically rigorous and recognised to be amongst the best in the world for this age group.

In Sixth Form, students work towards obtaining AS and A Level qualifications. A Level is one of the world’s most widespread and highly regarded university entrance qualifications.

All our students this year did wonderfully well. The results reflect a fantastic individual effort from each one and I truly feel that every individual achieved to their fullest potential Matthew Shephard, Headteacher

IGCSE Results

In 2016/17 with 94% of the exams taken being graded A*-C, this was another commendable set of results for our students. Particularly pleasing was the high number of top-level grades, with 60% being awarded grade A* or A.

A highlight was in the Modern Foreign Languages of Chinese, German, Spanish and Portuguese who continued their 100% record of grades A and A* at IGCSE.

We were particularly delighted for our Head Girl, Ahhyun Jeong, who continued her strong academic record and was awarded an A* in A Level Mathematics with an exceptional UMS of 598 out of 600.

In a year where many schools in the UK and internationally have seen a decrease in GCSE results, it was pleasing to see students exceed expectations at both IGCSE and A Level, with our first two graduates leaving with great results and continuing their higher education in Australia and Italy.
