Nord Anglia Music Exposition Nord Anglia Schools Middle East took part in a music exposition in Dubai.

Last weekend saw 47 children from our Gharaffa, Rayyan and Madinat Khalifa campuses join children from our sister schools in Al Khor, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the first NAME event (Nord Anglia Music exposition) at our school in Dubai. Students from years 4 to 13 joined forces with the students from other schools to form a primary choir, secondary choir and "Funkadelic Orchestra". Accompanied by our intrepid music staff (and a PE and Physics teacher!) our students rehearsed for a day and a half before giving a stunning performance in front of a large crowd of cheering parents and dignitaries. Music ranged from a beautiful arrangement of the classic "Simple Gifts" to "Day Tripper" by the Beatles. Students also took part in sporting and STEAM activities over the two days. Do Yeon Kim and Xin Di Kwong performed solo performances. Do Yeon played a piano solo and they played a piano duet together.

Compass students were a credit to their school, both in terms of their musical ability but also their excellent behaviour during long days of rehearsals and activities.

It is hoped that a similar event will take place next year. Please check out some of the performances at the following links.
