A huge congratulation to the boys at  Gharrafa in Year 6 Mr Higgins’ class who won the Makey Makey challenge. Across the three campuses of our schools, children in Year 5 and 6 had to design an invention using a Makey Makey kit that would make life easier in the classroom. Ahmed Mansour, Dhruv Devaya, Mazi Mdletshe and Ali Ahmed invented a Mojo counter that children could press as they entered the classroom. This served the purpose of counting the students present in the class and also welcoming them with a pre-recorded message. The boys’ invention was chosen as the winner by all teachers who took part in the challenge. They each won a Makey Makey kit of their own and were presented with a certificate in assembly this morning. We hope the boys will go on to use their creativity to make some more amazing things that can be useful.
