The maths and phonics parent workshop for Milepost One took place today and it was a great success. The workshop was well attended and gave a wealth of information. Miss Brown, Maths lead for Gharaffa, led the Maths session and Mr Pegrum, milepost 1 leader, led the phonics. The workshop gave the parents a chance to learn how we teach maths and phonics in class but it also allowed them to take part in practical activities. There were tasks for both subjects and Miss Brown and Mr Pegrum were on hand to answer any questions or queries. They even had the support of the Year 6’s to guide and assist adults with the tasks.
