The focus of this year’s competition is for students to look closely at the beauty of science all around us and is inspired by the work of Felice Frankel. Science photographer Ms Frankel is a research scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
This competition asks each student to choose from at least one of the following scientific concepts (or another of their choice) to inspire one beautiful photograph of:
- Light and reflection
- Living things
This competition is a chance for students to develop their creativity, think carefully about science in the world around them, practice their photography and most importantly, have lots of fun!
The Photography Competition is open to students at each campus and the competition will close on Sunday, 24 November. To enter, please email send the following to the STEAM Lead at the relevant campus:
- Photo (one entry per child)
- Name and Class
- Title of the photo
- 50-word explanation of the photo
Madinat Khalifa Primary: Alan.Mcartney@nais.qa
The judging will be done by Ms Frankel herself. Good luck to all participants.
