Year 11 students at Compass International School Doha received their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Maths results from their early entry exam on Thursday, 7 March. With 100% achieving a score of 7 to 9 (A – A**), there were many happy faces. Students celebrated their success with peers and teachers, finishing off the celebration with a donut. The early entry pathway is quite rigorous and ambitious, but worth it as three students with 9s placed in the Top 3% globally. Students will now face the demands of early entry International Baccalaureate Diploma Higher Level Maths.
This marks the second year in a row Compass students have achieved 100% pass rate for the IGCSE Maths early exams continuing to yield excellent results from the Maths Department. Ahmad Matin, an IGCSE Year 11 graduate at Compass International School Doha in August 2018, achieved two ‘Top in Qatar’ awards for his IGCSE results in Coordinated Science and Mathematics, demonstrating his top performer status for both subjects in the State of Qatar.
